My absence of being present isn’t equivalent to the absence of how much I care. Caramels is in reference to my family, a mixture of caramel skin toned loved ones in my life. I wrote this song to explain that although I may not be around, I think about each of them all the time, and I’m away on a mission to make all of our lives better.
